Transformer oil is an important insulating material in power equipment, but it contains harmful substances such as organic solvents and needs to be treated before it can be used again.
At present, the treatment methods for regenerated transformer oil are mainly divided into physical treatment and chemical treatment. The physical treatment method is to use distillation, filtration and other technologies to remove impurities and oxides, and then add antioxidants and other additives for reuse; while the chemical treatment mainly uses adsorbents, ion exchangers, etc. to adsorb or separate impurities, and then add additives for regeneration.

Although the cost of regenerated transformer oil is low, there are also uncertainties in purity and performance, so careful testing and evaluation should be carried out before use.
